EMMA C. BERRY |
||||
|
Launched for fisherman John Berry at
the R.&J. Palmer yard in Noank, Connecticut, the EMMA C. BERRY
fished local waters for nearly 30 years. In 1886, she was re-rigged as
a schooner to divide the rig for easier handling. After being acquired by
Mystic Seaport in 1966, the Berry underwent an extensive rebuilding and
restoration, returning her to her original configuration as a smack. A
National Historic Landmark, the EMMA C. BERRY is
the only remaining example of the famed yacht-like smacks of Noank. Model size: 17" L x 19.5" H x 3.75" W |
